Pharmacology students building brain awareness in community

Published Date:

Brain Awareness @ FranklinGraduate students from the Department of Pharmacology organized a stimulating Brain Awareness Day at Franklin Middle School on April 22. The students delivered a fun and interactive neuroscience presentation to educate the 8th grade learners on basic brain anatomy and physiology.

The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives provided interactive handouts, booklets and pencils to support the event. The Department of Pharmacology donated sheep brains to enhance the hands-on learning experience for the 8th grade students.

SIU extends special thanks to 8th grade science teachers Brett Troemper and Camille Alger for the opportunity to teach their wonderful students.
